This is a beautiful piece with unique burl markings that almost look like leopard spots. The distinguishing mark on this piece is the star shaped hole. A unique surprise was that the Kyanite crystal used as the finial has almost the same shape with the same number of points as the star opening. This was not at all planned or even realized until it was completed.
